Eeral - 1/4 kg
Onion - 2
Tomato - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Coriander leaves - few
To temper:
Oil - 1 tsp
Cloves - 1
Cinnamon - a small piece
Fennel seeds - 4
PROCEDURE:
Wash the Eeral thoroughly and put it in a strainer.(let the water drain completely)
Slice the onion and tomato.
Heat oil in a kadai and temper with clove, fennel seeds and cinnamon.
Now add onions and fry till slight golden brown.
Then add ginger garlic paste and fry until raw smell leaves.
Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder.
Then add your salt.
Fry until dry and lastly add garam masala.
Give a good toss and switch off the flame.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Enjoy!!!
Notes:
You can check whether your Eeral is cooked or not by cutting the eeral with the spatula ,if it cuts straight through, then it is cooked.
This is medium spicy. Adjust to your spice level.
