This is my favorite Chocolate Sauce. It is rich, smooth, velvety and so chocolatey!!!! It requires quite a few ingredients and is very very easy to prepare.
Prep time: Cook time:
Total time: Yield: about 1 cup
Ingredients:
Milk: 1 cup
Sugar: 2 tbsp
Corn Flour: 2 tsp
Dark Chocolate: 75 g
Vanilla Essence: 1/4 tsp
Butter: 2 tbsp
Just like my Homemade Caramel Sauce this is also prepared without cream and pairs excellent with ice cream. It can also be topped on cakes, muffins, cheesecakes or you could just sandwich it between two bread slices or even better just grab a spoon and enjoy it just like that!!
I personally love this Chocolate Sauce with Homemade Churros... ( recipe coming soon! ) Sugar rolled churros with hot Chocolate Sauce is an excellent match made in heaven!!! ( Chocolate heaven indeed!)
Homemade sauces are always quite handy to have in holiday seasons. Just top it on your favorite desserts, the possibilities are endless... So try it and let me know how you enjoyed it?
Homemade Chocolate Sauce
Rich, smooth, velvety Chocolate Sauce!Prep time: Cook time:
Total time: Yield: about 1 cup
Ingredients:
Milk: 1 cup
Sugar: 2 tbsp
Corn Flour: 2 tsp
Dark Chocolate: 75 g
Vanilla Essence: 1/4 tsp
Butter: 2 tbsp
METHOD:
1) Mix 2 tbsp milk with corn flour till smooth.
2) Take the remaining milk in a sauce pan and add sugar to it. Bring the milk to a boil and add the corn flour mixture.
3) Whisk the milk continuously in medium flame until it becomes thick and coats the back of a spoon ( as shown in picture below, about 2-3 minutes ) Mix in the vanilla essence.
4) Add the chopped chocolate and butter. Let it stand for a minute and then whisk until smooth.
NOTES:
1) Once cooled down you can store the sauce in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
2) You can reheat the sauce just before using it.
3) Always reheat in low flame or else the chocolate can easily get burnt.
4) Just like the Caramel Filled Chocolates, you can use this chocolate sauce as a filling in the place of caramel,
Cheers,
